About Refresh Modern Home
A design-led renovation team helping homeowners love the space they already have.
We started with a simple belief
Most people do not need a brand new house. They need the home they already have to work better, feel brighter and reflect the way they live today.
Refresh Modern Home was founded by designers and builders who saw too many renovations that looked good on paper and felt wrong in real life. We set out to do things differently, combining thoughtful design with honest craftsmanship and clear communication.
Today our team helps homeowners across Tacoma and the wider South Sound refresh kitchens, bathrooms, floors, windows, roofs and gardens, and add smarter, safer and more efficient systems.
Our values in every project
Listen first
Your routines, your style and your budget shape every decision we make.
Do it properly
Careful preparation and correct details, even the ones hidden behind walls.
Be clear
Plain language, written proposals and regular updates from start to finish.
Build to last
Materials and methods chosen for durability and lower energy use.
Designers and makers under one roof
Our team brings together interior designers, carpenters, roofers, electricians, plumbers and solar specialists. Because we work side by side, ideas move smoothly from the drawing board to your home.
Every project has a dedicated project lead who coordinates the crew, manages the schedule and keeps you in the loop. Our trades are licensed, insured and proud of the work they leave behind.
- In-house design and project management
- Licensed and insured trades
- Respectful crews who treat your home with care
Our mission

Our vision
A community of homes that feel bright, efficient and welcoming, where people choose to improve what they have rather than start over.
